Word Work and Shared Reading...

Our brains have to grow in a few ways before heading off to literacy centers each day! We have been working on syllables during word work this week and reading Mrs. Wishy-Washy for our shared reading time! We can even point to the words ourselves....

THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you so much each and every one of you for making my Birthday such a special one! The kids were so kind and parents you over did yourselves!!! Please know how much I appreciated all your kind words, gifts and hard work...you made my day extra special. We did not have a chance to get a class picture but I know I can ask our fantastic room mom for her pics!! As soon as I get them, I will blog for you to see....

Math Stations...

Here is what our math stations look like. We have a math tub activity, computer/ipad center, math literacy/retelling station, science station and math game! We then record our "math thinking" in our math journal for the day:). They are such great mathematicians!

Writing time! Yes, we are authors and illustrators...

You probably cannot read what they wrote here, but I can! This week we are going to start "publishing" some of our first stories! I cannot wait to get pics of some of these pieces.

fUn TiMEs...

These smiles melt my heart everyday, one way or another. Thank you for sharing your baby with me!

Literacy Stations...

During Literacy Stations we make books, read poems, work on the computer, read the pocket chart, write the room, retell our stories, have an ABC center and much, much more. Be sure to ask your little one what literacy station they went to each day! Monday's are such a great surprise and they get so excited to see their new station. These pictures are not from today, but during literacy stations today we started our guided reading groups! Let the growing begin.
