For a science experiment we placed 4 eggs in a carton and predicted how many books the eggs could hold. We joined with Mrs. Hawkins class to observe how many it would be. I was so impressed with how many it held. We set the books on top in sets of fives. The eggs did not crack until we had placed 50 books on top...yes 50! The kids were so excited. We then proceeded to see if we could break an egg by squeezing it in the palm of our hands. Not one friend was successful with that! Fun times as always.
Dr. Jerit and his office came to speak to us about taking care of our teeth. We learned how many teeth we have, how many times to brush our teeth and what foods are not helpful to our dental health. Thanks Dr. Jerit and team!
Making Butter....UMMM UMMMM Good! We have been learning about the farm and all the products animals help make. What a better idea then to make our own butter. We used heavy whipping cream, pinch of salt, yellow food coloring and shook it in a glass jar with a marble. The kids seemed to really like it.
Mrs. Lairsen is super excited to be coming back to Kindergarten this year. She is also elated to be opening up a new school with a fabulous new team. A few things about my self are:
I treasure spending family time with my husband, Brandon and my two little ones, Kinley and Kale. I squeeze my dog Gunner as often as I can. I LOVE Mexican food! Friends are the key to my heart. I am a True Red Raider!
I am looking forward to building a new relationship with all the new kindergartners at Purefoy Elementary!!!!
