We went on a nature walk today and observed if these things around our school were living or nonliving. Do they need air to breathe, food to live or shelter to stay alive?
Words cannot express how LOVED all of you have made me feel today. My classroom, team and school overall...I cannot believe your KINDNESS. Thank you for making my day such a special one! I was telling all my family what all of you did and they just could not believe it. I am for sure blessed with where I am this year, the people I am surrounded by and the childrens lives I hope to touch. Thank you, thank you, thank you again and again!
We have had such a busy week! What have we not done should be the question. There are pictures from our science "taste test". I had to get the camera to try and catch their faces as they tasted the lime juice. The honey seemed to be most of their favorite. Please ask them about their 5 Senses.
We had our bus evacuation drill that is required yearly by the district. They thought it was so neat to be on the actual school bus. They were just really confused when we did not go anywhere.
You notice them in our pizza pie (circle) on the floor. We are playing a new shape song that they really liked during our math whole group.
This week we also ventured into making the letters T and J in chocolate syrup. They were getting pretty creative with their T words. I believe the plate in the picture is showing a tator tot! Their brains are growing everyday...I hope they share some of these things with you at home. Enjoy....More pics to come of College Week!
Your children have become quite the writers in our classroom lately. They are eager to try the new ideas in our mini-lessons and love to share their favorite pieces with the class. They get really excited to learn the new claps we give our friends to show we enjoyed their writing. Here are a few pictures from one of lessons last week on writing with voice.
Mrs. Lairsen is super excited to be coming back to Kindergarten this year. She is also elated to be opening up a new school with a fabulous new team. A few things about my self are:
I treasure spending family time with my husband, Brandon and my two little ones, Kinley and Kale. I squeeze my dog Gunner as often as I can. I LOVE Mexican food! Friends are the key to my heart. I am a True Red Raider!
I am looking forward to building a new relationship with all the new kindergartners at Purefoy Elementary!!!!
